DAY 1 :
HOTEL / AIRPORT PICK UP IN MARRAKECH
Morocco Berber Travel organizes private tour from Marrakech with experienced drivers and guides to explore Sahara desert. We pick up from your hotel or airport and and we transfer your accommodation. Then we explore mains sights in Marrakech. Overnight in local riad.
DAY 2 :
MARRAKECH TO CASABLANCA
Today we travel from Marrakech to Casablanca. It is the economic capital of Morocco, and we will visit the city’s main sights, including a visit to the Hassan II, one of the world’s biggest mosques Outside of Mecca. Overnight in local hotel.
DAY 3 :
CASABLANCA TO RABAT AND FEZ
After breakfast, the group will leave by van towards Fes. On route, you will stop at Rabat, the capital city and residence of the King, for lunch and a time to enjoy the beautiful coastal city. After lunch you can have an optional visit of Volubolis, exploring the 2000-year-old ruins and getting a picture of life during the Roman Empire. You will continue on to Fes, the spiritual capital of Morocco.
DAY 4 :
GUIDED EXCURSION IN FES
After breakfast you will begin our guided tour of the Fes Medina, one of the world’s largest walled in cities. You will explore the narrow streets lined with fresh fruit, mounds of spices, intricately woven Berber carpets and many other art objects of Morocco. A visit to the King’s Palace, the tanneries, and potters are just a few places you will experience. For lunch you may choose to eat in a traditional restaurant in the heart of the Medina. After lunch you will continue the tour and return to your riad for the evening.
DAY 5 :
FES – ATLAS MOUNTAINS – ERFOUD - MERZOUGA DESERT
Depart early from fez you will begin your ascent We pass through Ifrane, a winter ski resort in a totally un Moroccan style built by the French in the 1930's to resemble a Swiss village;we visit the cedars forest in azrou you will see the monkeys , drive across the Middle Atlas Mountains. Most of the day will be spent winding your way through the beautiful forests, springs, jagged rock faces, and Berber villages as you cross the Atlas Mountains and begin to descend towards the Sahara Desert. Half way, you will stop for lunch in the town of Midelt, famous for its fossils and rocks, then we continue towards merzouga in the road we will stop in a panoramic views to see the a huge oasis of palm tree we reach to Merzouga. After rest a mint tea the guide and camels will be waiting to carry you across the sandy dunes of the Erg-chebbi,you will enjoy the beauty of the sunset on camel, after 2 hours you will reach to the desert camp to spend night in a Berber tent. At your desert shelter, your camels are hobbled and mint tea is served. After a wonderful dinner, watch the Stars,and overnight in the Berber Tent.
DAY 6 :
FROM MERZOUGA TO DADES VALLEY
After a special Berber breakfast, You'll depart towards gorges of Dades , traveling the rugged Road of a Thousand Kasbahs that rise up like turreted sand castles along this ancient caravan trading route.. The central region is one of the most exciting and romantic destinations of Morocco nestled along rich river valleys, palmeries and burnished mud-brick homes ablaze in vibrant color under the shelter of the blue desert sky. We'll travel through the ziz Valley past dramatic escarpments and plunging gorges via Tinghir. We'll stop for a lunch at a local restaurant in the village after a walk in gorge todra we will contunie towards a Dades gorge ,over night and diner.
DAY 7 :
GORGE DADES - ROSE VALLEY - OUARZAZATE - MARRAKECH
In the morning after breakfast you will have a walk to explore the dades gorge then you travel through the Draa Valley with its numerous palms groves and berber villages.when we reach ouarzazate we will have a visit for the city to see the atlas studio and the Kasbahs. Then we will visit the town of Ouarzazate,including the Kasbah of Taourirt and the Atlas Studios movie studios, the largest and most famous of all Africa. We stop in Ait Benhaddou we will arrive in time of lunch. Here we can visit the famous Kasbah, declared UNESCO World Heritage and which was the scene of films like The Gladiator, Babel, Lawrence of Arabia,we coutinue passing through the High Atlas and the Tizi-n-Tichka pass, along a road that climbs from the plains up to 2260 m above sea level passing through small villages.We reach Marrakech in the afternoon.
